Mark Palermo

Mark brings over 10 years of banking experience to Salem Five, having joined in 2024 to take over the growing Builder-Developer portfolio. His niche specialty of financing new construction is his main professional passion, partnering with local homebuilders to advance housing in our communities. Mark is active in the Homebuilders Association, and follows the constant changes in building regulations, zoning laws, and market trends, while staying in tune with the industry challenges his customers face. His community lending career is varied with small businesses like salons, fitness centers, and restaurants, as well as non-profits and religious institutions, plus a host of commercial property development and investment real estate.

His passion for entrepreneurship started with a family business in his hometown of Lowell, where he currently resides. Mark then majored in both Economics-Finance and Quantitative Perspectives at Bentley University, and furthered his education with a Master’s Degree in Finance at UMass Lowell. Outside of work, Mark enjoys time with his hound dog Wayne, renovating his own home, and being out on the golf course.
