Salem Five's Digital Bill Payment Service offers a convenient way to manage and pay all bills in one place, eliminating the need to visit multiple websites or handle physical checks. The service supports mobile access, recurring payments, reminders, and electronic billing for streamlined bill management.

Can I access bill pay on the Mobile App?
Yes. Salem Five’s mobile banking app allows all the same functionality as a desktop for Bill Pay.

How do I add a biller?
Select ‘Add Biller’ from the ‘Pay Bills’ tab, then begin typing the name of the biller in the search field. Select the biller from the drop-down list or select ‘Next’ to add biller details.

What is MultiPay?
The multi-pay feature allows you to pay multiple billers at the same time. Click checkboxes to select the billers you would like to pay, then select ‘Pay Selected Bills’.

Can I organize my list of billers into Groups?
If you have 5 or more billers, toggle ‘Groups’ on next to My billers on the Pay Bills tab then select ‘Create.’ Enter the name of your first group in the ‘Create biller group’ field then select ‘Add.’ Once your group is added you can choose the billers you want to add to the group by selecting ‘move’ to the right of the listed biller.

When are funds for a bill payment deducted from my checking account?
The date that funds will be debited from your account will display just below the selected delivery date field.
- For billers that accept electronic payments, funds will be withdrawn from your account one (1) business day prior to the "Deliver by” date you selected.
- For billers that do not accept electronic payments, funds will typically be withdrawn five (5) business days prior to the “Estimated Delivery” date.

How can I check the status of a bill payment?
The Activity tab will display bill payments that are Scheduled, Processing or Processed.

How do I edit or cancel a scheduled payment?
Select the scheduled payment amount from the ‘Recent Activity’ section of the Pay Bills tab or from the ‘Scheduled’ section of the Activity tab.

How will I know when my bill has been paid?
The bill payment will display as ‘processed’ within the History section of the Activity tab.

How long is Bill Payment history retained?
Bill Payment history is retained for up to 24 months.

My payment was not received by the biller/payee. What should I do?
If a payment was not received by one of your billers/payees, please call our Customer Contact Center at (800) 850-5000. So we can best research the payment, please have as much information regarding the payment available as possible, including contact information for the biller/payee.

How do I enroll in eBills?
For billers that offer electronic statements, select ‘eBills’ from the Pay Bills tab or select a biller to view biller details and select ‘Get eBills’ from there.

How do I set up recurring payments?
Select ‘Autopay’ from the Pay Bill tab or select a biller to view biller details and select ‘Add Autopay.’

How do I set up bill payment reminders?
Select a biller to view biller details and select ‘Add Reminders.

Select a biller to view biller details and select ‘Edit biller.’

Are there any restrictions when using Salem Five's Digital Bill Payment Service?
As stated in our digital banking terms and conditions the following types of payments are prohibited through the bill payment service:
- Payments to or from persons or entities located in prohibited territories (including any territory outside of the United States); and
- Payments that violate any federal or state law, statute, ordinance or regulation; and
- Payments that may be deemed to be illegal, improper, brand damaging or potentially exposing us, our Service Providers, or the financial system to risk or reputational harm; and
- Tax payments and court ordered payments.
